The Metro Project was an anarchic project to create early morning interventions in the underground advertising billboard system of selected Parisian metro stations.

Karam painted shapes on strips of newspaper inspired by objects, people and creatures; linked to each other and sharing a common destiny despite their differences. These shapes, which he called the Archaic Procession, later became the vocabulary of his public art projects. They first integrated the urban world in this project, by creating a dialogue with commercial advertising as Parisians began their working days.
