At the Stretching Thoughts exhibition, Karam presents us with both inspiring and troubling metaphors for the human mind. Dominating the entrance space is the massive Neglected Thoughts, an accumulation of scrap metal from a junkyard in Beirut, suspended in a box frame. This contextual installation sets the framework for the series, alluding to the fate of productive thoughts overshadowed by simplistic discourses or just abandoned potential, suspended in time.

We are then introduced to the paintings and sculptures of the Stretching Thoughts series, where the tangled thoughts of Neglected Thoughts find recognizable echo in each work. However, here, in contrast, the works evoke the limitless positive power of dynamic, positivist creative thought, and its potential to defy physical, geographical and cultural limitations.
