Roughly inspired by the diverse fauna and flora of the Arabian Desert landscapes, which is home to thousands of plants and animal species, ‘On Parade’ represents Saudi Arabia’s rich biodiversity. The rocks of the desert and the shifting flux of its sands are the theatre for thousands of life forms. They belong to the vast ancient time of the landscape and the time of accumulated moments, and they are visible only to those who know the secrets of the desert.

The elements, taken from Nadim Karam’s visual language, bear witness to the living entities that dwell in the desert and that are oftentimes overlooked; their linearity echoes time and the movement of the caravan peoples.
