This first contextual installation of a larger series was exhibited in the 2016 Stretching Thoughts Beirut exhibition.

Neglected Thoughts, an accumulation of scrap taken from destroyed Lebanese buildings, sets the framework for a series of installations that alludes to the fate of productive thoughts overshadowed by simplistic discourses or just abandoned potentials, suspended in time. Using scrap as a metaphor for discarded Thoughts, Nadim Karam examines the status of ideas that do not fit the dominant cultural mold.

Created to be anchored in-situ, this work is conceived to be modulated and reshaped, with the purpose of questioning and exploring different cultural contexts.
